Concrete Stamp
Stamped overlays have been around for 8 to 10 years. These overlays were brought in and designed to retrofit work on residential patios, driveways, sidewalks, lobbies, courtyards and entryways. Stamped overlays can take an old grey driveway and turn it into an real looking stamped concrete as if it was actually poured 4" in thickness. Stamped concrete overlays can range from 3/16"up to 7/8" in thickness and
comes in multiple colors and patterns. Colors can be integrally added into the mix, topically applied as an enhancing stain, tinting the top sealer for a second or third color. Most of the stamped overlays are two components consisting of pre-blending bags of select aggregates and cements and a secondary component of polymer.
Abrasive and Resistant
Polymer is in the water that mixes with the cement giving it bond ability, strength, and adhesion characteristics. Stamped overlays are applied 3/16" to 1/2" generally and have the strength to withstand car traffic and heavy point loads. They are abrasive resistant and work well in retail, commercial and residential units.
